Velocity Ammunition’s 35gr .223/5.56 Frangible Lead-Free Ammunition is engineered for safe, effective performance in close-quarters training and short-range rifle use. Featuring an ultra-light, lead-free projectile and lead-free primers, this round is ideal for reducing toxic exposure on indoor ranges or in environmentally sensitive areas. The frangible bullet design minimizes the risk of ricochet, breaking apart on impact with hard surfaces to enhance safety—making it especially well-suited for steel target engagement at close distances and use in shoot house environments. Due to the lightweight construction, accuracy is optimized within 100 yards, making it best suited for controlled short-range applications rather than long-distance engagements.

Disclaimer:

While this projectile is capable of making it to 100yds, the accuracy is limited. In our testing with a 16” barrel the group size was 2-3”. This is better suited for eco-conscious close-range training where lead/toxin exposure is a concern, as well as splash back.
